Visits From the People I Love!

Last weekend my family came to visit on their way home from vacation. It was insanely hot outside, so we spent as much time inside as we could. We got to see the new Spiderman movie (Andrew Garfield. So cute!), had some delicious fro-yo, and I had a good laugh (or ten) at my sisters. It was really fun!

And this weekend I got to hang out with my awesome and hilarious boyfriend! He came down to visit for a couple days, and we had an action-packed Washington, D.C.-filled weekend!

We went to Gravelly Point Park to watch the airplanes land at Ronald Reagan Airport-
Yeah, it was really that close!

The park was actually really cool! It was sooo nice outside, but still not very crowded. We could see the Washington Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial, the Captiol building, and Ronald Reagan Airport all from one spot! The planes coming in overhead were awesome to watch- I've never seen anything like it!

We also went to the National Zoo! We got there only an hour before it closed and there weren't many animals out, but it wasn't crowded at all and that made it worth it!

Red Panda! I need one!

Last night we went to Kaz Sushi Bistro in Foggy Bottom and I had my first taste of sushi ever! I tried California Rolls and some sort of shrimp (maybe?) roll. I'm not a fan of seafood at all, but these were actually really good!

Oh, you know, just some horse in Old Town Alexandria
Today we explored Old Town Alexandria. It was a bit of a drive, but also worth it! We passed by this cute little cheese shop called La Fromagerie, and decided to stop in. Turns out they actually serve lunch too! Brenden tried a sandwich with rabbit meat, and he actually convinced me to try a piece. Surprisingly, it was pretty tasty! We found some quirky little antique shops too and had a good time exploring the town.

Photo Cred: Brenden. He's quite the photographer!

I was sad to see both my family and Brenden leave, but I get to see them in less than a month! I can't believe this summer has gone by so quickly!
